| This was the first public viewing of some of the Victoria Museum's images of sitters from the subcontinent dating from 1897 to 1935. The exhibition, held at the British Council, Karachi, comprised 30 photographs which were developed from glass plate negatives discovered in 1988 by workmen clearing a London attic. The workmen had orders to throw away everything and redecorate.
